Michigan’s annual Public Policy Forum highlights poverty in the state

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Several officials will be gathering in Lansing to battle the state’s poverty.

Monday afternoon The Michigan League for Public Policy will be hosting its annual Public Policy Forum to discuss a two generation approach to reducing poverty.

According to the organization, one in six Michigan residents lived below the poverty threshold in 2014.
