The Charlotte Police Department is looking for someone.
They don’t have his name or picture, but he was important enough for police to go to the FBI and have a sketch artist come up with a rendering. The artist’s name in the corner of the sketch reads “T.A. Plantz, FBI Detroit, 10/16/15.”
Charlotte police then posted the picture on their Facebook page and asked people to help track him down.
They just won’t say why.
All the post says is that “Charlotte Police are interested in locating and talking to the subject pictured here” and that the picture comes from a witness description.
They don’t suggest the person is a suspect or wanted for a crime, nor do they say whether the person is armed or a danger to the public. They don’t ask people to call 911 if they spot him.
A comment under the initial post suggests the person may have a “facial injury.”
Charlotte Police failed to return calls on Thursday about the picture, and when reached on Friday, the person who answered the phone said they didn’t have any information to release and hung up.
6 News will continue to try and find out who the person is and why police want to talk to him.
