CHARLOTTE, MI (WLNS) – Charlotte Police are keeping tight lipped about two men they are searching for.
The Charlotte police said Wednesday, via Facebook they were looking for a white man, 6 feet tall, with salt and pepper color facial hair, wearing a green or dark sweatshirt with a faded logo.
He is said to be frequently behind a recycling center in the woods.
A day later the sketch of a man with no facial hair was released and, the post said it is not related to the first one.
In both cases details about why police are looking for these men are not mentioned.
People in Charlotte want more information about the suspects and especially why police want to find these men, “Yeah it would be good to know why they want him and whether it’s safe to be around him if you see him” Bruce Hart a fifteen year resident of Charlotte said.
“I guess I’d be concerned if I knew why they are looking for the person, but not knowing there’s lots of reasons why people are looking for him you know some dangerous to society and some aren’t” James Kerschke of Mason said while in Charlotte.
Rick Todd, executive of Crosswalk Teen Center, says he works a lot with youth and incidents like this one make him concerned about safety in the community.
“Yeah, it’s a concern that we should all be a part of this you can’t just, run this town alone or run the community alone we need to be together in this” Rick Todd of Crosswalk Teen Center said.
Todd hopes more information will be released so the public can help.
“You know I’m sure the police department are doing their job I’m not questioning them at all but as they share information with the public, um as we get it from the media sources like yourself , those are ways, those are ways for us to get involved and help, help to.” Rick Todd said.
We have made numerous attempts to talk with charlotte officials, the most police are saying is the Facebook post is the only information they will release. City officials referred us to police, and we’re still waiting to get return calls from others.
