County officials invite community for feedback on how to spend $3.5M

MERIDIAN TWP, Mich. (WLNS) – In November of last year, Ingham County voters approved a millage to support regional trails and their parks system.

County officials project the millage will generate millions in revenue over the next six years and now they’re looking for input on how to spend it.

The second of six scheduled meetings is happening Thursday night.

County park officials are looking for community feedback on what projects around the county to invest in.

Over the next six years Ingham County Parks expects to generate around $3.5 million.

Assessments of current land and water trails, parks and bridges are already underway but county officials want to hear from you.

Where do you think the money will be best spent?

If you have any suggestions, you asked to meet at the Meridian Township Hall on Marsh Road in Okemos at 6:30 p.m.
