LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – You won’t find many people bragging about being number two but that’s the American Heart Association’s goal.
Over the past 90 years, heart disease has been the number one killer of Americans.
On Saturday, dozens are expected to take part in the annual Heart Walk in Lansing.
The fundraiser helps continue the Heart Associations goal and mission to encourage people lead healthier lifestyles through exercise, movement and eating better.
Registration for the walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
It’s a free event but donations will be welcomed.
There’s a two mile walk or a modified course, for those who can’t travel as far.
