Three charged in murder of Summit Twp. woman

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – Three men have been charged with murder more than a year after a 28-year-old woman was found dead in her Summit Twp. home.

Frances Craig’s body was found back in August 2014.

On Wednesday Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka released the names of three men charged in her death.

Clifford McKee, 49, Rodney McKee, 27 and Cortez Butler, 43 are all charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, open murder and home invasion first degree. Both Clifford and Rodney McKee are also charged with solicitation of murder.

The murder charges carry a maximum penalty of life behind bars. If the men are found guilty of home invasion first degree, they face up to 20 years behind bars.
