Seven contestants to win prizes in waterfowl hunting challenge

LANSING, Mich. (AP) – Seven people will win more than $1,500 in prizes by hunting at three of Michigan’s seven managed waterfowl areas this fall.

The Wetland Wonders Challenge, sponsored by Consumers Energy, runs from Saturday through Jan. 31, 2016.

Seven contestants will win packages including a “golden ticket” good for one first-choice pick at a managed waterfowl hunt area for the 2016-17 season.

Other prizes include a 12-gauge camo shotgun, duck and goose calls, mallard and goose decoys and waterfowl hunting gear.

Michigan’s Wetland Wonders waterfowl hunt areas are located in the southern Lower Peninsula.
