Search is on for man accused of breaking into 17 cars

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – The Jackson Police Department is searching for a man they believe broke into 17 cars within the last 36 hours.

Officials say a string of larceny from autos reports started on October 6 and continued into the early morning of October 7.

A Jackson resident’s surveillance camera caught the suspect walking away with several items that were reported stolen.

The suspect appears to be a bi-racial man, about 18-24 years. At the time he was wearing light colored clothing. If you have any information, you’re asked to contact Det. Sgt. Kevin Hiller at 517-768-8728 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 855-840-7861.
