Police: All clear after man with possible weapon in Lansing

UPDATE (3:57 p.m.) – Our crew on scene says the area is starting to clear. More information is expected to come from police later Thursday.

(WLNS) 3:05 p.m. – The Lansing Police Department has a man barricaded in the Churchill neighborhood, according to the Lansing School District.

Neighborhood streets are blocked off in the 4800 block of Anson and the 3600 block of Lucie in Lansing. The Lansing Police Department is on scene at this time.

The school district said students and staff are safe, but buses will not drop off students in the Churchill area.

Parents are asked to pick children up at their school. Students who walk home will also stay at school until a parent comes to pick them up.

The Lansing School District is reaching out to parents to let them know.

Buses affected include students at Everett, STEM, Gardner, Reo, Attwood and Wexford.
