Online sales tax starts in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Thursday your online shopping habit may become a little more expensive.

Some online retailers will start charging a six percent sales tax.

Back in January Governor Rick Snyder passed a bill that would require out of state companies to enforce the taxes on out of state purchases.

The largest retailer to be affected by the new law is Amazon.com.
