(WLNS) – There is new evidence Thursday in the case of a woman accused of killing one of her two newborns. A second newborn is missing and the Okemos mother claims she can’t remember where her son is.
Prosecutors told a judge Thursday they want to delay the start of Melissa Mitin’s trial because they say there’s new evidence in the case.
The defense attorney says the evidence consists of lab reports from the Michigan State Police.
The judge agreed to delay the trial, which is now set to start in November.
