LANSING, Mich. (AP) – An Oakland County judge who lost an election to the Michigan Supreme Court is getting a new job.
Colleen O’Brien was appointed to the state appeals court Tuesday by Gov. Rick Snyder. There’s a vacancy on the court after the resignation of Judge Pat Donofrio.
Snyder says O’Brien has “served with distinction” on the Oakland County Circuit Court since being elected in 1998.
O’Brien, a Clarkston resident, ran for the Supreme Court in 2012.
