JACKSON CO., Mich (WLNS) – Today in Jackson County one of the frontrunners in the race to be the Republican nominee for president was at Spring Arbor University.

Dr. Ben Carson laid out his message about “Hope and Healing” as well as gain more supporters.

At a university that calls itself unapologetically Christian, Ben Carson used his platform to talk about his Christianity as well as his stance on political issues.

From where he came from to his hopes for the country as president Dr. Ben Carson spent the day rallying his supporters at Spring Arbor University.

And he may have won some over.

“I definitely like his values and what he believes in and stands for, so yeah” said Tim Walker of Toledo, Ohio.

While others remain undecided.

“I think as a voter I want to research all of them but right now I fall, he falls in line with my beliefs,” adds Andi Langenderfer.

Regardless, Carson wasn’t shy about where he stands.

He spoke today about closing the border, moving the country to be more fiscally responsible and improving veteran healthcare.

“They will all have a health savings account which is subsidized by the government and they should be able to go to any facility and we should be honored to take care of them”, Dr. Carson told the crowd.
