The Americans with Disabilities Act Turns 25

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – It was a bill President George Herbert Walker Bush signed into law back in 1990 and Thursday at the state capitol that bill will be remembered.

Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley and many others will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The act guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in employment, state government services and public accommodations.

The celebration will start at 11:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the State Capitol Building.
