Attempted Armed Robbery Overnight in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – A Lansing woman says she experienced a scary commute to work overnight.

Police say a minivan cut her off and two men jumped out and tried to rob her.

It happened around 2:30 Monday morning on Louisa Street near Joshua Street on Lansing’s south side.

According to police, the woman was driving on Louisa when she was stopped by the van.

That’s when two masked men got out.

One of them had a shotgun.

Police say they demanded money from the woman and when they didn’t get anything right away, they smashed out one of her windows.

Eventually, they left with nothing.

The woman wasn’t hurt.

Police are still searching for the two suspects.
