Gas prices drop 14 cents in past week to $2.36

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) – Gas price watchers say gas prices statewide have fallen by about 14 cents in the past week.

The AAA says the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.36 per gallon on Monday. That’s about $1.26 less than at the same point last year.

According to the auto club, gas prices have fallen three straight weeks.

Online gas price monitor reports that the average price of a gallon of gas in Lansing is $2.43 with lows reaching down to $2.32. Jackson is seeing average pump prices of $2.34.
