Gaming convention Random Battle Con raises money for Child’s Play Charity


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Lansing’s newest gaming convention is in town for Labor Day weekend.

Random Battle Con takes place at the Radisson Hotel Friday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The event will highlight console, P.C. and tabletop gaming.

The convention will host a costume contest, numerous buy-in tournaments for gamers, information panels as well as band performances.

Representatives from Sony and Nintendo will give demonstrations on future gaming titles.

Badges will be for sale and donations are welcomed to raise money for Child’s Play Charity.

Child’s Play Charity provides toys and games for children in hospitals and shelters.

Random Battle Con hopes to raise at least $1,000 for the non-profit at the convention.
