Lansing teen charged with kidnapping three children

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – A Lansing teenager now faces three charges of kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of three children this past weekend.

18-year-old Tyisha Reynolds is charged with taking twin 4-year-old girls and a 6-year-old girl from a home on the 4400 block of Chadburne Saturday night.

Lansing Police tell 6 News that the suspect is a family member of the three girls but Reynolds did not have permission to take the children.

Police searched for the missing children and, after a tip, found the children and suspect at a home in the 2500 block of Linlawn in Lansing.

The children were not hurt and were returned to parents and family members.

Reynolds has been charged with three felony counts of kidnapping and is held on a $75,000 cash bond. She will be in court September 3.
