UPDATE: The Michigan State Police have released the identity of a Howell man killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday. Officials say 51-year-old Lawrence Pettis was driving a 1989 Honda Goldwing northbound on Pinckney Road when he was struck from behind by a pickup, also traveling northbound. The truck was driven by a 31-year-old Howell woman. The motorcycle was then pushed into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
LIVINGSTON CO., Mich (WLNS) – A crash in Livingston County has claimed the life of another motorcyclist.
The Michigan State Police tell 6 News that the crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. last night south of Howell on Pinckney Road near Keddle Road.
According to investigators the crash between the motorcycle and a pickup truck took place in a construction zone. The 51-year-old Howell man driving the motorcycle died at the scene.
Last Wednesday 48-year-old Delbert Loomis suffered fatal injuries while trying to avoid a car making an illegal turn on US-23. The driver of the car is being interviewed by detectives and that investigation continues.
