Price hikes could begin at gas pumps

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Drivers in the Midwest could see higher prices at the gas pump in the next week.

That’s according to the analysts at gas price monitor GasBuddy.com.

They’re forecasting prices to jump between 15 and 30 cents per gallon in the next week for motorists in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.

Refinery problems at a BP refinery in Indiana are seen as the reason behind the hikes. The refinery is the seventh largest in the country and largest in the Midwest.
