Officials: Motorcyclist injured after rear-ending car

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – A motorcyclist is in the hospital after sheriff’s officials say he rear-ended a car Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:28 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North Moscow Road in Hanover Twp.

Sheriff’s officials say a 2008 Suzuki Reno and a 2011 Harley Davidson were traveling southbound on Moscow Road, heading towards the Village of Horton.

As the car was slowing down due to the speed limit change in Horton, police say the motorcyclist rear-ended the Suzuki.

The 51-year-old motorcyclist, from Jonesville was taken to Allegiance Health by ambulance. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet. His condition is unknown at this time, but officials say his injuries are life threatening.

The 20-year-old driver of the car, a Jackson woman was uninjured.
