Dog dies in Livingston Co. house fire

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – A dog is dead after a house fire Tuesday in Livingston County’s Village of Byron.

It happened around 3:24 p.m. in the 6700 block of W. Julie Court in Livingston County.

Officials were able to get the fire under control. Multiple fire departments, including Fowlerville and Williamston were on scene for about four and a half hours helping to fight the flames and clear smoke.

Fowlerville Fire Chief John Wright says no one was home at the time of the fire. He also says the home is a total loss.

Fire investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire.
