This Morning: Work It Out Wednesday: Yoga

(WLNS) — Yoga is a workout with a slower tempo, but there’s no skimping on it’s health benefits.

With yoga poses you’re stretching your muscles but also making them stronger at the same time.

This morning Mariah Harrison and personal Trainer Walter Crockett joined 3 Jewels Yoga studio founder Tara Scott to demonstrate a few poses.

The first is “Downward-Facing Dog”, which serves as a deep hamstring stretch and can easily be modified.

The second pose is “The Chair Pose”, which gives a good demonstration of the stretching and strengthening capabilities of yoga poses.

3 Jewels Yoga operates out of the Heartdance Studio on E. Michigan Ave.
