YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) – Police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old inmate last month at the Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Ypsilanti (ip-sih-LAN’-tee).

Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Chris Gautz says Kayla Renea Miller was found dead July 16. Michigan State Police public affairs manager Shanon Banner says authorities are waiting for toxicology and autopsy reports in Miller’s death.

Our media partners at MLive report Miller was serving in prison for incidents that happened in June 2014 in southwest Michigan’s Berrien County.
