LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Utility crews have been working non-stop to restore power to the thousands waking-up without it.

As of right now there’s about 1400 Consumers Energy customers in the dark in Montcalm County and one thousand in Calhoun County.

More than 700 are without power in Jackson and Ionia counties.

Officials say while many customers will have their power back before tonight some customers in the northern part of the lower peninsula may have to wait until Wednesday.

The utility says all customers should have their power restored by 8:00 a.m. today.
