CLINTON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – Officials have determined who owns the three dead dogs found along Upton Road in Laingsburg.

A neighbor told 6 News Thursday they saw four dogs in the area. Officials did determine a fourth dog belongs to the same owner.

The surviving dog is with Clinton County Animal Control and does not appear to have any injuries. The dog will be examined by a veterinarian.

Clinton County Animal Control and the Clinton County Undersheriff Larry Jerue believe the dogs were hit by a car.

Police are still investigating at this time.
