High-speed chase ends with arrest

INGHAM CO., Mich (WLNS) – When lights, sirens and stop sticks didn’t work State Police say they used their patrol car to nudge a man’s vehicle in order to stop a high-speed chase.

It all unfolded around 10:00 p.m. last night on westbound I-96 near the Okemos rest stop.

Police say they tried to pull his vehicle over for speeding, but he didn’t stop.

Seven miles later police say the man left the highway at Pennsylvania Avenue and blew through a stop sign.

Eventually a trooper used a manuever to force the suspect’s car off the road and ended the chase.

6 News is told the man is facing multiple charges, including fleeing and eluding, and resisting arrest.
