Capital City Cycling Classic to shutdown several streets Saturday

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – In Lansing the CFT Bike Festival gets underway first thing in the morning Saturday.

If you’re planning on driving downtown Saturday, a number of streets will be closed for the day.

The fun starts at 7 a.m. and runs until Saturday night.

Most streets that surround the Capitol will be closed to traffic.

Streets that will be closed from 7 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. include:

  • Capitol Ave. between Ottawa St. and Washtenaw St.
  • Allegan St. between Pine St. and Capitol Ave.
  • Walnut Street between Washtenaw St. and Ottawa St.
  • Washtenaw St. between Capitol Ave. and Townsend St.
  • Townsend St. between Washtenaw St. and Allegan St.
  • Michigan Ave. between the City Hall garage ramp and Capitol Ave.

Lane restrictions from 7 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. include:

  • Ottawa St. between Washington Square and Walnut St.
  • Capitol Ave. between Ionia and Ottawa St.
  • Allegan St. west of Pine St.

The bike races happen in areas all over the state every summer.
