This Morning: POUND Workout

(WLNS) — Music and working out go hand in hand, but have you ever made music while working out?

A quick search on the internet and you’ll find thousands of POUND instructional videos.

POUND is a full body, cardio jam session that combines light resistance with constant simulated drumming.

POUND incorporates easy-to-follow cardio choreography and strength training to raise your heart rate to the “Fat Burning Zone”.

A typical workout burns 400-900+ calories per hour.

There’s no counting, repetitions or clock to keep track of.

You simply follow along with the music.

The new trend is gaining popularity and they offer classes at The Spartan Dance & Fitness Center in East Lansing.

Mariah Harrison teamed up with certified POUND instructors to show 2 routines you can do at home.

Proper standing POUND form is a full squat position with tight abs, flat back and strong arms.
