LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Several people are waking up with injuries in the hospital this morning following two mid-Michigan car accidents.
The most recent happened around 1:30 a.m. in Lansing near the intersection of South Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and St. Joseph Street. It was a two vehicle accident.
Investigators are looking through the evidence and did say a couple of people were taken to the hospital with bumps and bruises but will be okay. Lansing police officials say alcohol was a factor.
IONIA COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – In Ionia County the county sheriff’s office is investigating a crash that happened yesterday evening. It happened at the intersection of Storey Road and Fisk Road near Belding.
Officials say just before 6 p.m. a 44-year-old Rockford man on a motorcycle was stopped at the intersection when a 50-year-old Stanton man hit him with his pick-up truck.
The truck driver told police he did not see the motorcycle and could not stop in time.
The accident is under investigation. We are working to find out if the motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital.
