OKEMOS, Mich. (WLNS)– It appears mid-Michiganders love to pamper their pooches.
The owners of the new Doggy Daycare and Spa said Wednesday that business has been non-stop since they opened the Okemos facility three weeks ago.
“It’s been a wonderful kind of busy,” said owner Janice Milligan. “The response has been wilder than my wildest dream. I couldn’t have been more happy about that.”
Wednesday’s ribbon cutting event marked the return of Doggy Daycare and Spa to the community where it was originally founded in 2000.
The new $1.1 million facility at 1284 Grand River Avenue offers cage-free daycare for dogs, as well as overnight boarding and grooming services.
The 7,000 square foot business can accommodate up to 60 dogs a day.
Pet owners can tour the new Doggy Daycare and Spa Wednesday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The business’ owners ask you leave your pets at home.
