UPDATE: Power outage hits thousands after overnight storm


UPDATE 10:30 a.m. – The Lansing Board of Water and Light Outage Site is reporting no more power outages in its service area.

Consumers Energy is still showing scattered outages with crews working to restore power to customers.

(WLNS) – Utility crews are working to restore power for thousands of Consumers Energy customers who were hit by an overnight storm.

People in Ionia, Calhoun and Clinton counties are those being affected.

Consumers Energy repair crews are working on finding the cause of the outage. There are no estimates on when power will be restored.

The Lansing Board of Water and Light is also reporting scattered outages. Those areas are primarily on Lansing’s northwest and south sides. You can view the progress on repairs at the Board of Water and Light Outage Center here.
