Grand Rapids to celebrate President Ford’s birthday

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WLNS) – Former and late U.S. President and Michigan Representative Gerald Ford will have his life and legacy celebrated in Michigan later today. The Gerald Ford Presidential Foundation will host its annual event in Grand Rapids to remember the nation’s 38th president.

It starts tonight with the Air Force band of mid-American Star Lifter from 6 to 7 p.m.

Tomorrow members of the Ford family will take part in a wreath laying tribute at President Ford’s tomb followed by a commemoration lecture.
