Eurozone agrees to debt deal for Greece

GREECE (WLNS) – After weeks of negotiations, the Eurozone Summit has unanimously agreed on a bailout deal for Greece.

The summit’s chair Donald Tusk tweeted earlier this morning the deal included serious reforms and financial support for Greece in order to keep the nation using the euro currency.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the Eurozone is open to giving Greece some debt relief but has ruled out a direct cut in the country’s debt level.

Over a span of several years, Greece has collected a debt of $260 billion and has failed to pay it back.
