This Morning: Work It Out Wednesday: Boxing

(WLNS) — People are always looking for fun ways to mix up their workout.

Doing the same routine every day can get a bit stale.

Mariah Harrison and personal trainer Walter Crockett say you should give boxing a try.

Boxing serves as a great cardio and strength exercise because you use every part of your body.

They demonstrate combination punches that will engage your entire body from your feet to your fingers.

When trying these at home, remember to fully extend your arm on straight punches, and keep your core tight.

They also demonstrate some kick boxing moves, adding a ’roundhouse kick’ to a combination punch sit up.

Remember to pivot your foot and rotate your hip on the kick.

For correct boxing stance, if you’re right-handed your right foot goes back, and vice-versa if you’re left-handed.
