(WLNS) – On Tuesday 6 News told you about a break-in at a storage facility in Okemos.
Since then, we’ve learned about another break in at a storage facility, this one in Lansing Township.
This other break-in happened at the Affordable Self Storage facility in Lansing Township.
According to the owner of the storage unit, it happened in the early morning hours on July 4.
6 News drove out to Affordable Self Storage Wednesday.
The owner of the storage unit says someone broke into 43 units.
Out of the 16 cameras inside of the facility, four of them were cut.
The Ingham County Sheriff’s Department says they think the two cases may be related.
“There’s some video evidence up in one of the B&E’s. There may be some other evidence that still relates the two. We’re still working on piecing that together and obtaining more evidence every day. It appears to be the work of more than one person, a group of subjects,” said Sgt. O’Neill, Ingham County Sheriff’s Department.
If you have any information about either of these break-ins, call your local police department or call Crime Stoppers.
That number is 517-483-STOP. There could be a reward for anyone whose information leads to a conviction and you don’t even have to leave your name.
