JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS)—A family in Jackson is extremely upset after learning their dog was shot to death by a trash collector.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of East Euclid Avenue Monday evening.
Police say the worker walked up to the home, the dog growled at him and tried to bite him. That’s when officers say the sanitation worker pulled out a gun and shot the dog three times in the head.
The worker waited for offers to show up and willingly handed over his weapon. Police say the man had a concealed pistol license.
