Local carpet company receives a piece from the World Trade Center

LANSING, MI (WLNS)- A piece of the World Trade Center will be finding a new home in Lansing.

Later today representatives from the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will be presenting a shadowbox holding a piece of 9/11 steel from Ground Zero to Maloney Carpet One.

The gesture represents a thank you to the locally owned flooring business for its support of the foundation.

The Stephen Siller Foundation was created in the honor of Stephen Siller, a firefighter who died on the job on 9/11, and helps to support injured U.S. service personnel.
