Fireworks allowed July 3 -5

(WLNS) – Friday, July 3 is one of the days in Michigan that it’s legal to use fireworks.

State law says it’s okay to use them the day before, the day of, and the day after a national holiday.

That doesn’t mean you can use them whenever you want.

They’re typically banned between midnight and 8 a.m., although different cities and towns can set different times. Be sure to check the times where you live so you’re not faced with a fine.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
