Lansing to celebrate Independence Day Saturday

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – The city of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department is preparing to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 4.

Activities are appropriate for the entire family.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Allegan Street heading east to Capitol. It continues north to Ottawa and finishes heading west on Ottawa.

Beginning at 8 p.m., the Lansing Concert Band will perform special patriotic songs and marches at Adado Riverfront Park. Concessions will be available at the park starting at 6:30 p.m.

Following the concert, Lansing will set up fireworks. The fireworks show is scheduled to start at 10:10 p.m.
