UPDATE (3:46 p.m. Tuesday) – Police have identified the 50-year-old man who was part of a standoff Monday.
Harold Vaudrey of Sunfield is charged with one count of weapons, firearms discharge in or at a building, one count of domestic violence, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of weapons, felony firearm and one count of assault and battery.
He has been charged with domestic violence before, this is his third offense.
Vaudrey is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether. He is not allowed to drink alcohol, threaten anyone, posses a firearm or have contact with the victim.
His pre-exam conference and preliminary exam are scheduled for July.
SUNFIELD, MI (WLNS) – What started as a domestic violence situation turned into a standoff Monday afternoon.
Police were called to a home in the 100 block of First Street in Sunfield.
A 50-year-old man was inside the home with a hand gun.
At one point in time the man went outside and fired a shot, which did not hit anyone. The suspect went back inside the house afterwards.
When police arrived on scene they were able to talk the man into coming out of the home.
He was arrested and is facing several charges.
Police say the man was intoxicated.
