INGHAM COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – Gordie the Coonhound was on the run when someone picked the pup up and brought him to Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter.
His owners were out of town at the time. Gordie escaped from his home, jumped from a second story window and went outside to play.
Thankfully, he was okay after jumping so far. Gordie was reunited with his family when they returned.
A grateful Gordie then sent a thank you letter to the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter.
Gordie writes, “Since I am a spoiled brat to some extent – and mama is a soft touch who didn’t want to cage me – I was put into my mama’s bedroom. Although I like mama’s room VERY much (I sleep with her every night), the siren song of the Great Outdoors was simply too much for me.”
He continues, “She has been very concerned that because I am such a cool, nice, friendly and charming guy that at some point, someone might just keep me. It took a lot of stress off of her to know that you had me and that I would be reunited with her.”
