Therapy dog Thursday comes to downtown Lansing

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – If you need a break from work later today, downtown Lansing may be the place for you. Today is therapy dog Thursday.

Jana Nicol, an employee at the Michigan Department of Transportation started the program for anyone who needs some cheering up or a break from a stressful filled work day.

The sessions will go on every Thursday outside the Van Wagoner building in downtown Lansing until Labor Day.

More than a handful of therapy dogs and their owners attended the first session.
