Governor looks to grow Pure Michigan business program

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)—Governor Rick Snyder is turning to business leaders for ideas to build off the successful Pure Michigan campaign.

Thursday, the governor spoke at an event for the Small Business Association of Michigan.

He’s teaming up with CEOs from that organization, as well as Consumers Energy and DTE Energy to discuss ways to grow the Pure Michigan Business Connect program.

Both utility companies announced their increasing spending by $2 billion.

The Small Business Association of Michigan has been around since 1969 and serves small businesses in all 83 Michigan counties.
