Lansing teacher wins 2015 excellence in teaching award

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – A Lansing Eastern High School teacher is being honored by the school’s alumni association.

Bridgitt Hency, who teaches English and language arts, won the 2015 Hugh Spagnuolo Excellence in Teaching Award.

The award is presented by the Lansing Eastern Alumni Association. It was created in 2001 and includes a $2,500 prize.

Hency won the award for being the teacher who promotes the highest standards of excellence at the school and for improving the lives of her students.
