DETROIT (AP) – A judge has heard more testimony and scheduled final arguments for June 30 in a case that will determine whether a Detroit mother charged with murder will lose her rights to two children.
Mitchelle Blair is charged with killing two of her four children and storing the bodies in a home freezer. The state wants to terminate her rights to two remaining children, ages 17 and 8.
A friend, Victoria Johnson, testified Thursday. She says Blair spent time with Johnson’s children and was loving and affectionate.
A judge will also decide whether to end the parental rights of two men who are the fathers of Blair’s remaining children.
