Michigan governor signs bills extending variety of fees

LANSING, MI (AP) – Many fees would be extended under bills signed into law by Republican Gov. Rick Snyder.

Snyder signed bills Thursday to extend the fees through 2019.

Licensing fees would be extended for barbers, electricians, plumbers, engineers, livestock dealers and other professions. Annual reporting fees would be extended for nonprofit organizations, corporations and limited liability companies.

Fees would also be extended for fingerprinting and criminal background checks.
