Gas prices rise above $3 a gallon

(WLNS) – Gas prices are on the rise, which means fuel is on its way to burning a hole in your pocket.

The current Lansing average is $2.93, while some stations are already about $3 for a gallon of unleaded.

There are still stations in the $2.60’s and $2.70’s range. Michigan’s average is a few cents below the Lansing average, at $2.90.

Both Lansing and Michigan are above the national average of $2.79.

Jackson’s average of $2.87 is also above the national. Most stations in the Jackson area are around $2.99, some are still in the $2.70’s.
