UPDATE: MSP Completes Deven Guilford Investigation

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Nearly four months after Deven Guilford’s death, Michigan State Police say the investigation is finished.

In February seventeen-year-old Deven Guilford was shot and killed on M-43 near Grand Ledge, after a traffic stop with the an Eaton county sergeant turned physical.

With the investigation by Michigan State Police complete, friends and family may finally get some answers as to what happened the night the Grand Ledge High School student died.

The investigation has been handed over to Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd for review.

The investigation can take weeks to review, and the next step is in the hands of the prosecutor who will decide if the sergeant is going to be facing charges.
