Teen in custody after bringing BB pistol to school

EATON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – A 17-year-old man is in custody after making threats and bringing a gun to a local high school.

On Monday Eaton County deputies responded to a 911 call made by Waverly High School officials saying that a former student, Joe Forebeck was on campus, making threats and was thought to have a gun.

Deputies searched the suspect and found a BB pistol that looked like a 45 style semi-automatic pistol.

Forebeck was arrested and arraigned on charges of felonious assault in a weapons free school zone.

He is currently being held in the Eaton County Jail.
